May 13th 2014 is the next security patch release by Microsoft. The release will feature eight security bulletins, which is the most that have been released at one time since the start of this year. Microsoft mentions that “this notification replaces the out-of-band bulletin summary that was released on May 1, 2014, and does not include the out-of-band bulletin (MS14-021), which was released on May 1, 2014.”
Microsoft will be hosting a webcast to address customers questions in regards to the security release on May 14th, 2014.
Out of the eight security bulletins, two of them are classified as critical, with the remaining five being classified as important. The two critical security issues deal with remote code execution and affect Microsoft Windows, Internet Explorer, Windows Server, and Microsoft Productivity software. Windows XP will not be receiving these updates.
